MEET RISA BATTINO,
M.S. CCC-SLP, BCS-SCF
Speech- Language Pathologist
Risa is a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and young adults with developmental disabilities. She has advanced training in stuttering, social communication, autism and language impairments.
Passionate about helping individuals communicate with confidence, Risa creates personalized, meaningful goals that support lasting progress. She believes every voice deserves to be heard and works closely with families, educators, and professionals to ensure consistent, comprehensive care.
Risa holds a B.A. from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from CUNY Hunter College. She is licensed in New York and Connecticut, holds ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), and is a Board-Certified Specialist in Stuttering, Cluttering, and Fluency Disorders (BCS-SCF). Risa began her career at the Rose F. Kennedy Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center at Montefiore Medical Center (formerly Albert Einstein College of Medicine) where she continues to practice part-time and is involved in training students and professionals across multiple disciplines. In addition, she serves as an adjunct lecturer at CUNY Hunter College.
